What's a budget?
Have you seen the Chancellor on Budget day holding the red box up for the press? That's the government's budget. The chancellor has to plan how much every government department is allowed to have. But he has limited funds! They have to plan the country's spending.
What does budgeting mean?
A budget is where you plan how you are going to spend the money that you have.
