What is my pocket money for? You need to agree what your pocket money should cover. There will be things that your parents/carer will buy for you. There will be many things that you want to buy - but you can't always have them. It is the same for grown-ups - they can't always buy the things they want. We have to buy the things we need first, and then see what money is left over for everything else! If your parents/carers say they can't afford something for you, accept this. See how much it costs and, if it is something you really want and will make use of, start saving up for it. If it is worth waiting for it is worth saving up to buy it! Write down a list of the things you are allowed to spend your money on. Do not ask anyone to buy these goods for you! Think 3 ways about your money! Some for spending, some for saving and some for giving. Use your 'giving' money for presents for friends and for others. It is good to sponsor people, and good to give some of your money to a church or charity. Pocket Money ideas for OTHER age groups...
